Sock Monkey

Good evening Ladies. As you have probably already noticed, the title of this entry is Sock Monkey. The reason for this is that I am thinking about trying this little project. Has anyone tried this? It looks like it is not that hard to do. I am going this weekend to get a new sewing machine because the one that I had messed up from me using it so much. I am really excited about this. I am still doing plastic canvas and still have my website. I am ready to be a stay at home mom and stop being a temporary employee. I love doing my crafts and I love being at home with my kids. It felt good yesterday to be able to be at home with my daughter when she as sick but the only reason that I was able to stay home was because I had to call in because my van would not crank. I have been working on teacup keychains and next is the flip flop key chains. I will have these on my website once I get them done and sell them for $3 each. They will be good size. I am also working on some framed wall hangings. I will post pictures when I get them done. There is one of late NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, one of a 9-11 tribute, and one of Elvis. These are just a few of them.

What do you ladies think? I have been getting lots of hits on my website but not many orders. Can you all check out the website and please tell me what could be done better?

January update

I have been looking lately into doing some craft fairs to get my name out there. I am working on more teacups because I got the idea to put them on ziplock bags with flip flop keyrings, a business card and an index card with an intro to me and my company. I will hand these out to the customers. I am also getting picture frames and putting wall hangings in them of Elvis, 9-11 and a few other things. I am also doing sports calendars and checkbook covers. I am even thinking about doing windmills of the different sports teams. I will post pics as I get them done. I am so excited. I have so many ideas but it seems like I can't get things done fast enough.

Good morning to all my faithful followers.

Here it is the first week of the new year and things are winding down. I am actually able to take time to sit and work on my crafts. I am working on teacups that have flowers on them. After that I will be working on little tabs with "P2" on them to hang from my products as my logo. My new business cards came in the mail yesterday and they look good. I plan on selling at the flea market this spring and summer. I have been going through my patterns to decide what to make for the sale. I am getting excited. Well that's about it for this morning. I will write more in the days to come.

Christmas stockings

I finally finished the stockings for my girls Christmas parties and they were a huge hit. Not only did the kids like them but so did the parents. I am including a pic of one but there were three different patterns. They were seven inches tall and candy filled. Here is what they looked like. I wish you could have seen the looks on the kids faces when they got them.
